Join Austin and City Repair to get together with members of your community to design your own imaginative outdoor furniture! In teams, we will design, build, and decorate custom creations for a public space in your community. We’ll meet in the morning to begin exploring what we can create together in small teams. Leaving preconceived ideas behind, we’ll imagine, sketch, and build prototypes or final creations, as time allows. Let’s make something original together!
The workshop will take place within the workshop at the Rebuilding Center, where we will tour facilities, get inspiration from beautiful and durable placemaking projects there, and gather supplies.
No building or design experience required. Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own paint or items for decorating if you’d like. Vegetarian lunch will be provided.
Sliding scale $5-25 per person
We will have room for a maximum of 18 attendees, so RSVP as soon as you can!
