Anya Anand - Learning to Embrace my Differences
Anya Anand is a junior at Lincoln High School who is passionate about finding new ways to serve and give back to her community. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, she has dealt with the challenges of being the daughter of parents who immigrated from India and embracing that culture, while also finding a way to fit into the local culture. She serves on the Multnomah Youth Commission, Rural Education And Literacy for Youth, and the Forest Heights Youth Leadership Committee.
