Mark Lakeman, co-founder and creative design extraordinaire, shares with a public audience his signature presentation that has transformed thousands of peoples perspective on the ways that ordinary citizens can change the world that they live in.

THE VILLAGE LIVES offers us a glimpse into the past, present and future of what it means to be in relationship with our surroundings and with each other, making the case that it's the daily acts and the local strategies that can shift us from being mere inhabitants of spaces to being the designers and builders of places.

Mark's passion-driven and image-saturated journey into the possible will leave the audience hungry for the opportunity to get their hands dirty in the ever-evolving journey of the transformation of urban environments. Fortunately, with 6 more days of the Village Building Convergence (and 3 evenings of the Village Building Design Course) to follow, there should be plenty of opportunity.
