Two transformations are happening: Using the NATURAL BUILDING material of PLASTER to gain that experience and Transitioning a private space for PUBLIC BENEFIT using natural plaster. I live on a busy, high traffic street. Come help me ready this garage and property for interacting with the pedestrian traffic via multiple options: plants, tools, acupuncture? IT ALL STARTS with a WELCOMING SPACE. We will transform this garage with the good leadership of a visionary natural plasterer: June Bonnheim and have fun adding plastering touches to a backyard shed or art pieces as well.

SCHEDULE: We will rough plaster June 2nd - 4th from 10am - 4pm. FOOD will be served between 12pm - 2pm: soups and breads, treats, snacks and Gluten Free options. We'll be using clay-rich sub soil, sand and chopped straw to create a base coat of plaster over a reed mat lathe. We'll be doing a pigmented finish plaster of finer materials. People are welcome to arrive at any time and participate in a small, free-form plaster mural that will be created on the side of an outdoor shed, or individual art pieces. This project can be replicated at your own home with kids. COME PREPARED TO GET DIRTY! KIDS WELCOME to work along with you or add plaster touches to the shed or create Art Pieces to take home.

DIRECTIONS:
- Vehicle or bike --> I am about 5 blocks south of Washington & Stark along 102nd (102nd becomes Cherry Blossom Dr. in two blocks), and there is plenty of street parking.
- MAX train --> take the Green line to the Main St. Station and walk East past the Adventist Hospital - OR - take the Blue line to the 102nd Station and walk South past the Adventist Hospital. Both stops are about 6-8 blocks away. The Bus line is #15 which stops two blocks away at 106th and Cherry Blossom.
